The Eberhard Contodat (Ref. 31156.01) debuted in 2025 as a contemporary revival of one of the brand’s emblematic chronographs from the 1970s. It reinterprets the vintage Contodat design language with modern proportions, refined finishing, and the precision of a Swiss automatic chronograph movement.
The stainless-steel case features a polished bezel, domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating, and a screw-down crown for enhanced durability. The screwed steel case back is engraved with golden details and the Latin phrase “UBI TU IBI EGO” (“Where you are, there I am”), underscoring Eberhard’s heritage of craftsmanship. The watch is paired with an integrated stainless-steel bracelet featuring the brand’s patented 2CLICK® deployant clasp, ensuring secure and comfortable wear.
The blue dial showcases a sunburst central section surrounded by a satin-finished outer ring carrying a tachymeter scale. Rhodium-plated, partially skeletonized baton hands and applied hour markers are filled with luminous material, while the orange chronograph seconds hand and azuré-finished subdials echo the retro character of the original model. A trapezoidal date window sits elegantly at 6 o’clock.
Powering the watch is the self-winding chronograph Caliber SW510 BH a, offering hours, minutes, central chronograph seconds, a 45-minute counter, and date display - blending vintage design cues with contemporary Swiss precision.
