The Eberhard Chronographe 1887 (Ref. 31082.04 CP) debuted in 2024 as part of the Chronographe 1887 Automatique series, reinterpreting the refined symmetry and craftsmanship of Eberhard & Co.’s 1930s and 1940s chronographs for a modern audience. The model combines classical design codes with contemporary mechanical excellence, emphasizing the Maison’s long-standing heritage in precision timekeeping.
The stainless-steel case measures 41.5 mm in diameter and features a domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating. A vintage-style crown integrates a coaxial chronograph push button, while the case back-secured by four screws-includes a sapphire display center framed by an engraved steel perimeter. The watch is water-resistant to 50 meters and paired with a hand-stitched alligator leather strap with a personalized steel buckle; a Déclic® deployant clasp is available as an option.
The argenté dial is distinguished by its clous de Paris guilloché texture, complemented by azuré-finished subdials with diamond-polished edges. Applied nickel-noir Roman numerals and rhomboidal hour markers enhance depth and legibility, while the telemeter and minute scales are graduated to one-fifth of a second, preserving the instrument-like precision of vintage Eberhard chronographs.
Powering the watch is the automatic Eberhard Caliber EB 380, a self-winding monopusher chronograph movement featuring a column wheel and flyback mechanism, visible through the sapphire case back with its finely decorated oscillating weight.
