The IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Staffel 11 (Ref. IW3891-12) was introduced in 2025 as a limited edition of 250 pieces celebrating Fliegerstaffel 11, one of the most historic fighter squadrons in the Swiss Air Force. Founded in 1925 and based at Meiringen Air Base, Staffel 11 operates F/A-18 Hornet jets and is a proud member of the NATO Tiger Association, known for its iconic “Tiger Meet” events featuring aircraft in bold tiger-striped liveries.
The 44.5 mm case is crafted from black zirconium oxide ceramic and complemented by a titanium caseback engraved with the Staffel 11 emblem. Its black dial carries a subtle tone-on-tone tiger stripe pattern—a refined tribute to the squadron’s heritage. Yellow accents highlight the small seconds hand at 9 o’clock, the numerals on the date disc, and the chronograph pushers, mirroring Staffel 11’s symbolic color scheme.
At the core of the watch lies the IWC-manufactured Calibre 69380, an automatic column-wheel chronograph movement with a soft-iron inner cage for magnetic protection. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, it provides a 46-hour power reserve and exceptional reliability under demanding conditions.
The watch is fitted with a black rubber strap equipped with the EasX-CHANGE® system for tool-free strap swaps, secured by a titanium pin buckle. A powerful blend of aviation legacy, precision engineering, and squadron pride.
