The Eberhard Contodat (Ref. 41156.03) debuted in 2025 as part of the modern Contodat Automatic collection, reinterpreting a 1970s Eberhard & Co. design once produced exclusively as a chronograph. This contemporary iteration retains the distinctive symmetrical dial layout and vintage cues of the original, blending nostalgic charm with mechanical sophistication.
Crafted in stainless steel, the case features a polished bezel, domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating, and a screw-down crown for robust performance. The screwed steel case back is detailed with golden engravings and bears the Latin phrase “UBI TU IBI EGO” (“Where you are, there I am”), underscoring the brand’s artisanal spirit. The integrated bracelet - alternating polished and satin-brushed links - is fitted with Eberhard’s patented 2CLICK® deployant clasp for security and comfort.
The argenté dial features a sunburst-finished center framed by an azuré-textured outer ring, combining elegance with subtle depth. The blue azuré small-seconds subdial at 9 o’clock, accented by an orange hand, contrasts beautifully with the rhodium-plated skeletonized baton hands and applied luminous hour markers. A trapezoidal date window with a metallic frame sits at 3 o’clock, preserving the Contodat’s balanced aesthetic.
At its heart beats the automatic Caliber SW290-1, offering hours, minutes, small seconds, and date - a fusion of Swiss precision and retro-inspired design.
