The Eberhard Contodat (Ref. 41156.02) debuted in 2025 as a contemporary interpretation of a 1970s Eberhard & Co. classic. The Contodat Automatic carries forward the aesthetic DNA of the original chronograph-only model, reimagined in a time-and-date format that preserves the spirit of its vintage predecessor.
The stainless-steel case features a polished bezel, domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating, and a screw-down crown ensuring durability and everyday practicality. The screwed steel case back, decorated with golden engravings and the Latin inscription “UBI TU IBI EGO” (“Where you are, there I am”), reflects the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship and heritage. Completing the design is an integrated stainless-steel bracelet with alternating polished and satin-finished surfaces, secured by Eberhard’s patented 2CLICK® deployant clasp.
The green dial combines a sunburst central finish with an azuré-textured outer ring, producing a rich visual interplay of light and tone. Rhodium-plated, skeletonized baton hands and applied hour markers filled with luminous material ensure legibility, while the orange small seconds hand adds a vibrant, period-inspired accent. The trapezoidal framed date aperture at 3 o’clock reinforces the Contodat’s distinctive symmetry.
At its heart, the watch houses the automatic Caliber SW290-1, offering hours, minutes, small seconds, and date - uniting Swiss precision with vintage-inspired elegance.
