Hand-wound movement with signature 3/4 plate. Display for hours, minutes, small seconds and power reserve indicator ('UP/DOWN'). The mechanism behind the UP/DOWN display consists of 36 individual parts; it is integrated directly in the movement with a tiny planetary gear train. The compact construction is based on a patent received in 1940 by Otto Lange, a grandson of the manufactory’s founder.
