The Eberhard Contodat (Ref. 41156.04) debuted in 2025 as a refined reinterpretation of a 1970s Eberhard & Co. classic, continuing the Contodat Automatic line’s homage to the brand’s mid-century chronograph heritage. Originally produced only as a chronograph, the Contodat now returns in a time-and-date configuration that preserves the balanced symmetry and design codes of the original.
The stainless-steel case features a polished bezel, domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating, and a screw-down crown for durability. On the reverse, the screwed steel case back is engraved with golden details and the Latin motto “UBI TU IBI EGO” (“Where you are, there I am”), a signature hallmark of Eberhard craftsmanship. The integrated stainless-steel bracelet, alternating polished and satin finishes, is secured by the brand’s patented 2CLICK® deployant clasp.
The gray dial showcases a sunburst-finished center framed by an azuré-textured outer ring, evoking the visual character of the 1970s reference. Rhodium-plated, skeletonized baton hands and applied luminous hour markers enhance readability, while the orange-accented small seconds hand at 9 o’clock introduces a touch of contrast. The trapezoidal date window with a metallic frame positioned at 3 o’clock reinforces the Contodat’s signature symmetry.
Powering the watch is the automatic Caliber SW290-1, offering hours, minutes, small seconds, and date with Swiss precision and vintage-inspired refinement.
