About this caliber
The Audemars Piguet calibre 8100 is an automatic movement introduced in 2025 with the Royal Oak “Jumbo” Extra-Thin Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Chronograph (RD#5). It combines a flyback chronograph with a flying tourbillon in an ultra-thin construction, measuring only 8.1mm when cased.
The movement features a vertical clutch and column wheel for precise and smooth chronograph operation, along with a patented reset mechanism. Its symmetrical layout places chronograph counters at 3 and 9 o’clock, balanced by the tourbillon at 6. The movement is finished to haute horlogerie standards and visible through the sapphire caseback.
