The Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon (Ref. 310.92.44.51.01.002) debuted in 2025 as the Black Edition—a darker, more technical evolution of Omega’s ceramic chronograph line. Crafted from polished and brushed black ceramic, the 44.25 mm case measures 15.09 mm thick with a 50 mm lug-to-lug length and 21 mm lug width. The brushed ceramic bezel features a laser-engraved tachymeter scale filled with black Grand Feu enamel, combining precision engineering with a monochromatic aesthetic. Both sides are fitted with sapphire crystals treated with anti-reflective coating, while water resistance is rated to 50 meters.
The laser sand-blasted black ceramic dial carries a tri-compax layout with small seconds at 9 o’clock, a combined 60-minute and 12-hour recorder at 3 o’clock, and a date window at 6 o’clock. All hands and bevelled indexes are blackened and filled with black Super-LumiNova, glowing green in low light—a stealthy reinterpretation of the iconic Moonwatch look.
Powering the watch is the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900, a self-winding column-wheel chronograph certified by METAS and resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. The movement includes a silicon balance spring, twin barrels mounted in series, a time-zone function, and a 60-hour power reserve. The Black Edition finishing extends to the movement itself: a matte-blackened rotor, main plate, and bridges with black-varnished engravings, visible through the transparent sapphire caseback.
The watch is completed with a black rubber strap embossed with a lunar-surface motif on the underside, fastened by a ceramic foldover clasp featuring ceramised titanium frame-spring folders. Combining stealth design, space-inspired engineering, and chronometer-grade performance, this Speedmaster embodies the true spirit of the Dark Side of the Moon.
