The Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon (Ref. 310.92.44.51.01.001) debuted in 2025 as a striking all-black expression of the Moonwatch legacy. Its 44.25 mm case is crafted from polished and brushed black ceramic, offering a contemporary mix of matte and reflective surfaces. Measuring 13.02 mm in thickness and 50 mm lug-to-lug, it features a polished ceramic bezel with a Liquidmetal™ tachymeter scale. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters, with sapphire crystals protecting both the dial and caseback.
The laser-sandblasted black ceramic dial enhances the watch’s stealthy character. Small seconds sit at 9 o’clock, while a combined 60-minute and 12-hour chronograph counter occupies the 3 o’clock position. Blackened hands and bevelled indexes are filled with black Super-LumiNova, glowing green in the dark, while the central chronograph seconds hand adds contrast with its red varnish finish.
Inside ticks the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9908 “Black Edition”, a hand-wound column-wheel chronograph certified by METAS and resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. With a silicon balance spring, twin barrels, and Geneva waves in arabesque, it delivers a 60-hour power reserve and a distinctly architectural aesthetic.
The watch is completed with a black rubber strap featuring a lunar surface motif and a ceramic foldover clasp with ceramised titanium frame-spring system—a fusion of precision engineering and celestial inspiration.
