Description
The Breitling Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 Japan Limited (Ref. A32398A91G1A1) was introduced in 2025 as an exclusive edition of just 150 pieces, available only in Japan. This regional release reimagines the versatile Chronomat GMT 40 with refined aesthetics inspired by natural materials, blending elegance and functionality for global travelers.
The stainless-steel case measures 40 mm in diameter, 11.77 mm in height, and 47.4 mm lug-to-lug, delivering a perfectly balanced wrist presence. It features a unidirectional ratcheted rotating bezel, a screw-down crown, and a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. Water resistance is rated to 200 meters, ensuring durability across all conditions.
The defining element of this limited edition is its black mother-of-pearl dial, shimmering with iridescent depth. A gold Breitling “B” logo at 12 o’clock symbolizes exclusivity, while the red GMT hand and 24-hour scale around the edge provide intuitive dual-time functionality, distinguishing day and night with clarity.
Powering the watch is the Breitling Caliber 32, an automatic COSC-certified chronometer based on the ETA 2893-2 movement. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, it offers a 42-hour power reserve and precise, reliable performance.
Completing the design, the watch is paired with a stainless-steel bracelet featuring a butterfly clasp, maintaining the Chronomat’s signature balance of sportiness and sophistication.
